Slow Dance with Me 3:410:00/3:41
Born in the inner city and entering the foster care system at a young age, Lady Ash learned early how to navigate emotions she didn’t always have the words to understand. In the midst of uncertainty, she found two places where she could escape, express herself, and begin discovering who she was: fashion and music.
Her musical journey began in church, where she first discovered the power of her voice. By the third grade, she was playing the violin. At 13, she began writing music, turning feelings and experiences into words and melodies.
At 16, she wanted to take her musicianship further. She dreamed of learning the acoustic guitar and keyboard, but without the resources to easily obtain them, she refused to let that stop her. She spent three hours begging for the opportunity to get them and eventually went to a thrift store to find the instruments she needed.
That determination became part of her artistry.
By 21, Lady Ash had begun producing her own music, expanding from songwriter and musician into a creator capable of shaping the sound and vision of her work from the ground up.
Her music is rooted in emotion, survival, femininity, vulnerability, beauty, hustle, ambition, high standards, and transformation. She carries the mentality of someone who learned to make something out of nothing—to keep going, demand more for herself, and turn struggle into fuel.
Fashion became a language for identity. Music became a language for everything she couldn't always say.
Lady Ash is not simply telling stories through music—she is transforming the experiences that once made her feel lost into art that allows others to feel seen, understood, inspired, and empowered.
